Terms of Service

Welcome to Roux. These Terms are an agreement between you and My Roux, Inc.(“Roux,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the Roux app and services. By creating an account or using Roux, you agree to these Terms.

Who can use Roux

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. You’re responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure.

Your content

Your closet, photos, and messages are yours. You grant us a limited license to store and process them solely to provide and improve the service for you (for example, to remove photo backgrounds, match items to products, and generate styling suggestions). You’re responsible for having the rights to any content you upload.

Connected accounts

If you connect an email or calendar, you authorize Roux to access that data as described in our Privacy Policy. You can disconnect at any time. You must only connect accounts you own or are authorized to use.

AI styling suggestions

Margaux offers styling suggestions and information for your convenience. They’re provided “as is,” may not always be accurate, and are not professional advice. Use your own judgment.

Public closets & community

Roux is private by default. If you choose to make your closet public, your closet items, display name, handle, follower count, and the profile lines Margaux writes become visible to other signed-in Roux members, and members who follow you may post in your closet’s chat. Messages you post in a chat are visible to everyone in that room and may include items you choose to share. You can make your closet private again at any time; messages you posted in other closets remain unless you delete them. Be kind — we may remove content or restrict accounts that harass others or degrade the community.

Shopping & third-party retailers

Roux shows you products sold by third-party retailers and may link you to their sites to complete a purchase. The retailer — not Roux — is the seller of record: prices, availability, shipping, and returns are theirs, and we don’t guarantee any listing is accurate or in stock. Purchases you make from a retailer are governed by that retailer’s terms.

Closet earnings (referral rewards)

When another member buys a piece she discovered through your public closet, we may credit you a share of that purchase (currently 5%). During early access this program is promotional: accruals are tracked in the app, payout timing and mechanics will be set out in program terms before first payment, and we may modify or discontinue the program prospectively. Earnings may have tax consequences that are your responsibility.

Notifications

If you opt in, we send push notifications (for example, when an import finishes or a closet you follow has news) and, where you’ve separately consented, SMS messages. You can turn either off at any time in your device or account settings.

Acceptable use

• Don’t misuse the service, attempt to break or overload it, or access it in unauthorized ways.
• Don’t upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
• Don’t use Roux to violate anyone’s rights or applicable law.

Our intellectual property

Roux, including its name, branding, design, and software, belongs to My Roux, Inc.. These Terms don’t grant you any rights to our trademarks or content beyond using the service.

Beta software

Roux is in active development. Features may change, break, or be removed, and data may occasionally be affected. We appreciate your patience and feedback as an early user.

Termination

You can stop using Roux and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service or other users.

Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Roux, Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes

We may update these Terms; we’ll revise the date above and notify you of material changes in the app. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
